In this thematic workshop we will focus on the subject of emotional stability, tranquility and inner calm. Learn how yoga can bring emotional tranquility and mental calm by supporting our nervous system and hormonal balance. We will learn step-by-step a special yoga sequence by BKS Iyengar.
STRENGTHENING THE NERVOUS SYSTEM AND AIDING HORMONAL BALANCE
- We will learn about the human nervous system, as well as understand how mental stimulation, hormones, or stress play a part in the ‘happening’ our minds and emotions.
- We will learn how to adapt the practice to our own bodies working with different conditions/circumstances that are relevant to our lives.
- Since breath is of great importance we will practice some relevant Paranayamas and touch upon few aspects of yoga philosophy that will help us understand how yoga views the mind and its dynamics.
DEVELOP AND DEEPEN YOUR PRACTICE
Our yoga workshops provide a chance to practice yoga on a deeper level in a holistic way, connecting the physical and the organic body through yoga Asanas, each time with a different theme or subject matter. In addition we take the time to touch upon breathing or meditation techniques and inquire into different philosophical aspects of yoga that are at the heart of our practice.

To make the most out of this workshop a good foundation of 3-6 months of Iyengar yoga practice is needed.
