The yoga chair has always been a useful friend and great teacher of Iyengar yoga. It allows us to explore our body better, get better extension and support to the spine, get deeper into twists, longer and easier into inversions and so on.
This special workshop will be dedicated to learning how to use the yoga chair to improve our understanding and practice in different groups of yoga postures (standing poses, forward bends, back bends, inversions, twists etc.).

In this thematic workshop we will focus on the subject of emotional stability, tranquility and inner calm. Learn how yoga can bring emotional tranquility and mental calm by supporting our nervous system and hormonal balance. We will learn step-by-step a special yoga sequence by BKS Iyengar.
STRENGTHENING THE NERVOUS SYSTEM AND AIDING HORMONAL BALANCE
- We will learn about the human nervous system, as well as understand how mental stimulation, hormones, or stress play a part in the ‘happening’ our minds and emotions.
- We will learn how to adapt the practice to our own bodies working with different conditions/circumstances that are relevant to our lives.
- Since breath is of great importance we will practice some relevant Paranayamas and touch upon few aspects of yoga philosophy that will help us understand how yoga views the mind and its dynamics.

This summer we offer a new course for Iyengar Yoga students who want to take their practice to a new level.
The long warm summer days are a perfect for spending more time on the yoga mat!
This 6 week course (6 sessions of 2 hours each) aims to bring you better understanding of your yoga practice and introduce to you, gradually and safely, poses which are often taught only in Level II classes. We designed this course especially to help you with this transition to the next level making it simple, fun and rewarding.

Time for some reconditioning of the spinal cord and perineum area, before the winter months. A well-conditioned back can withstand stress and protect your spine better.
In this workshop we will focus on the lower back specifically. Lower back issues can drain your daily routine and keep you from functioning well.
INCLUDING A SPECIAL SPRING RECIPE TO KEEP THE BLADDER & KIDNEYS HEALTHY
The health of our kidneys is important to filter fluids and keep our body clean from waste and toxins. The bladder you want to keep strong and functioning well over the years for obvious reasons. Twists Asanas are the right one, the twisting action gives the abdominal organs a thorough massage and squeezes the kidneys, while the intensifying blood flow to and from the kidneys rejuvenates them. As groin opening poses keep the bladder in good shape and help keep its elasticity. You want to create space in the lower abdomen and tone the muscles supporting the bladder. The spreading action of the legs and relaxing of the groin area like in Baddha Konasana and Upavista Konasana, does just that. And to increase the effect you can do them in inverted poses. That way the whole abdomen relaxes and the pressure in the organs felt from being upright is relieved.
